We recently completed a fun axle project designed to fix a common Jeep JK Wrangler-- a weak front axle.
Bent front axle C's are a well documented issue on both Dana 30 and Dana 44 axles, especially for JK owners that move to larger tires and like to take their JK offroad.
Fortunately, there is a relatively inexpensive fix that doesn't require a complete-- and costly-- axle swap.
EVO 44 Magnum Sealed JK Axle Sleeves is designed to increase stock axle strength by 30 percent while incorporating dual seals to prevent debris from entering the axle tubes. Combining these two tried and true technologies will not only increase the strength of your axle housing, but will also help to prevent premature falure of the costly to replace inner axle seals.
With the axle removed and cleaned, the EVO 44 Magnum Axle Sleeve is installed. The result is an axle that is 30 percent stronger than stock.
The gussets are checked for proper fit and then welded to strengthen the axle C's.

The axle is painted and reinstalled. You will notice how much beefier the axle looks-- its now ready for bigger tires and offroad use.
For good measure, the customer opted to have the EVO Front Control Arm Skids. The weld-on skids offer excellent control arm protection.
